The Collective has unmatched experience developing games based on major movie and television franchises, including Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, The Da Vinci Code and Men in Black. The studio has also been successful in developing completely original titles, creating an original action-strategy game, Wrath Unleashed, which was released in 2004 and working with fashion designer Marc Ecko to develop the innovative urban adventure, Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure, which was released in 2006. At the end of 2006, the studio announced an original action-horror title for next-generation platforms, titled Harker.
In 2005, The Collective merged with Backbone Entertainment to form Foundation 9 Entertainment, which has since grown to be the largest independent game developer in North America, employing more than 750 people in 10 studios.In 2006, two of The Collective’s co-founders, DougHare and Richard Hare, moved into full-time executive positions within Foundation 9 Entertainment and appointed Nathan Huntas the new Studio Head. Joining The Collective in 1999, Nathan has been instrumental in building the studio’s proprietary technology and has contributed to all of its games since.
In addition to evolving Harker, The Collective is currently at work on an unannounced, high profile title for next-generation platforms.
