Im really anticipating this game for multiple reasons.

1. Theyll change the view from the ***bersome third person to a much better view.

2. Its MGS4 for god sake.

Thats definately not snake in this new version, he not only looks completely different(snakes face is very unique) but his poses in those screens are nothing like Snake would ever do, completely out of character, my guess is he is a character from a previous mgs title(sorry I'm not familar with the series). When we finally see snake in his outrageously high poly, unbelievably awesome PS3 form you will know its him.

I just hope MGS4's gameplay is a HUGE leap foward and evolves to the extent Resi 4's did.

In the new one snake is old and I think you play as someone else. Perhaps snake is like your teacher?

yeah, MGS4 is one of my most anticipated games for the ps3. other than that, Killzone PS3, just to see if it lives up to it's pre-rendered clip.

also, (for those of you who don't know the series) the person on the little robot in the trailer was a person name Oticon. He was in MGS 2. Also, Snake has a bad habbit when it comes to smoking, and Oticon often ridicules him for it. Look at the trailer, and you'll see him waving his arms and fake coughing when snake blew smoke on him.

also, I'm almost positive that that is snake. i believe that he has a virus (can't remember the name off the top of my head), cause you'll notice he inject himself with a shot to keep himself alive.

The man in the trailer is definitely Snake. It was confirmed in an interview with Hideo Kojima I believe. They also hint at Raiden making a return, though in a more mature form. Personally, I'm glad they aren't giving up on Raiden's character. I love Snake to death, but I think it's time he bids farewell in this entry. As far as the Snake being infected with the virus bit, I remember at the end of Metal Gear Solid he finally learned that Naomi injected Foxdie into his system, yet I'm not sure if that's the reason Snake is injecting himself with medicine in the trailer. I remember hearing something about it being the fact that Snake is a clone of Big Boss is the reason behind it. I’m not very positive on that, but I’ll go back today and check. I’m hoping this game is on the shelves at launch. Definitely the one I'm looking to jump into first.

True, I also read that interview. Snake sure looks.............well old. Oh well Im sure he will still kick some serious a$$.

I read someone's theory (wish I remembered where, so I could credit them), that said that perhaps he is so old because of the fact that he's a clone, and has to inject himself with that serum to slow or stop the effects. A thing to consider is that Otacon doesn't look much older...if Snake was aging at a normal rate, after an appropriate length of time, then I would expect Otacon to be a lot older. But I'm sure there are going to be a lot of unexpected twists...so I'm sure we're all wrong.

I think that this game is going to be great. And about the Xbox version.....yeah, it was ok.

who else was scared when a while back, kojima said that he was done with MGS after MGS 3 came out? that scared me a little. but, it looks like kojima just couldn't help but make another. thank god.

well, i think as long as kojima is working on the games, there quality should be the same.

so, what i can tell, snake kills himself at the end of the game. it looks like they tried the same method as God of War, showing the ending at the beggining of the game.

MGS4 looks like it will be pretty sweet. A friend of mine had MGS and MGS 2, and while I only played the MGS game, it looked pretty cool.
