I got stuck with the fat one:mad: , i got it in teh early life of the ps2, and it worked fine, so i didn't think it was logical to get another one, just cause it was smaller. recently though, i saw how small this thing was, and HOLY CRAP! it was so small and light, it was about the same size as my hand! psplaya 03-13-2006, 09:48 PM I think what your reffering to is the PS2 and the PS2 SE. Philament 03-26-2006, 05:48 PM What I don't understand is why didn't Sony just release the slim PS2 the first time around? It would've saved most of us an extra $300. I've had three PS2s and they all died on me. Well, except the last one. I put it out of it's misery. Luckily, my older brother still had his and gave it to me. Yes, another fat one. He went out and bought the slim version, so he could put it in his car. Eventually, I traded off with him and now I'm using the slim one. He's suck with the fatty. I guess it doesn't matter though. Curlfro dotn feel so bad the ps2 slim is more prone to breaking my 2 friends had ps2's 1 slim and 1 phat and both of them had fallen befor and my friends slim one broke and the phat 1 was fine true story ya know! I'd buy the fat one just as soon as I'd buy the slim one.. Just because, the system is never going to leave my room.. Period. So it really makes no difference to me which system I have.
