GeorgeTink 04-14-2007, 01:28 AM Hi
there has been some mixed reviews bout this game but i would like someone who actully has the game or has played it to tell me what its like?
thx
was wondering the same thing. i saw a show where u can use ur psp as ur rear view mirror. that would be awesome. im not really into racing games, but would love to try that...
MrBrew 04-20-2007, 03:26 AM Hi!
I have the game from the beginning and it rocks!!!
Here a short review from my side.
I love racing games but never bought F1 only NFS and GT. Im glad I bought it now.
The graphic is fantastic there is no difference to the "real world".
You can start a Career which starts with 3 Test drives at 3 Teams and they decide on how you drive wether they want you or not and as 1st or 2nd driver.
At the GP Weekends you have the Friday and Saturday Training where you can test your car with different setups and choose the best for your driving style.
You can change everything in the Gamesetups beginning with Damage, AI of the Drivers and if you or not want the Driver Helps.
At the Box Stops you do not only wait till the crew finished but you have to press the right Buttons on the right time to make the stop faster.
Multiplayermode is amazing too because you can join other players races or make up your own with every possible setup.
1 thing is for sure its no partygame because you almost need to know the tracks by hard and believe me you wont have the time to check out the PSP screen looking who is behind you. If you have Doldy Surround you hear it that some1 is behind you and on which side he tries to attack.
Last but not least if you want to get the most out of the game and yourself get the Logitech G25 wheele and the playseat then you almost know what these guys are going throu every GP. Its pure concentration and fun!
Hope I could help you. Dont hesitate to ask was a long night yesterday and i guess thats why my english ist so bad today.
MrBrew meet me on the track!
Ascend_01 04-20-2007, 03:43 AM Oh man someone on my buffy list plays this game all the time, he loves it. Sooo i guess its a good game.
Kadettoulas 08-05-2007, 04:37 PM the game just ROCKS.....i was playing the same in PS2, but from now on only on PS3....amazing graphics with just the sony scart adapter, though it can be played till 720p (with scart adapter is 570p i think!!!!)
flubbachany 08-29-2007, 03:46 AM i am also cnsidering getting this game. I would like to know, is the safety car actually in the game? lots of game descriptions say its in there, but game reviews don't mention it and some have said it was pulled out at the last minute
Kadettoulas 09-20-2007, 07:17 AM I m not making a parade lap so I can't tell u....does anyones knows how u unlock the Williams FW08 and Williams FW18?
flubbachany 09-25-2007, 08:22 PM OK i bought the game. Just to clarify for those interested:
No there is no safety car
No there is no chief engineer mode (as far as i know anyway)

geneinnc 06-16-2008, 07:54 PM I am totally adicted to the game. I have tried most F1 games since I had the original PS.
I have stuck with EA F1 2001. It's still a great game, and I still have it installed on my PC. The bummer is my MOMO force feedback wheel (PC version) will not work on my PS3.
This is one game that anyone can drive when the various driver assistance functions on.
It takes a while, but using the Evolution option, can shave up to 3 seconds a lap. It's just like the real racers. Your engineer puts you through 3 sets of 2 lap tests, and that determines the best option for your race strategy, (number of stops). After that you go through 5 more tests to find the best downforce, handling, brake balance, castor & toe in settings! If that's not enough you can set up everything manually during the race weekend practices. True to form, you have 2 knock out qualifying sessions, and if you make it to the final section, you have to run your race setup in the last qualifier.
I am dead serious when I say this is the real thing. You can actually change the gears in the tranny, set tire pressures, ride height, brake bias, etc.
If you wait around after the race, you can even watch the drivers on the podium, and a partial playing of the winners national anthem!
I'm just now trying the online. No one has offered up any cheats for me, but they do exist. I'm using Shumi's Ferrari, and racing the computer I'm usually within one second of the times the real drivers are turning in at the various tracks. Here's an example. I got a Bronze Medal for a lap at Indy. I assume that meant I fast enough to compare with the top 30% drivers (cyber drivers). I ran a few online races and was running in the top 3 most every race. A couple of new guys joined us, and they both were 13 SECONDS faster, PER LAP!
I'm debating on buying a new wheel. I know manual gear shifts would be a huge advantage. Ditto on turning off the auto braking. I'm sure some of you younger drivers can handle everything using the controller, but my skills aren't good enough to handle all of that on a controller.
Any feedback on which wheel to get?

Logitech G25 or Logitech Driving Force Pro (DFP) or Logitech DrivingForce Pro GT (DFPGT). You should look them up on google, G25 is the top of the range wheel with a clutch and 6 speed gated h-pattern shifter.
