On that note, what's everyone's obsession with pretty electronics? A lot of people are all excited about the 3 different PS3 colors...MS makes a big deal out of the interchangable faceplates...people get iPods because they're stylish, etc. I don't get it. I get my electronics based on functionality; I got my iPod because I know Apple makes good products, and I wanted a high quality MP3 player...not because it looks cool.

It's not, a lot of sites offer custom cases you can replace your stock one with. I think it's pointless though.

Nope that stuff is not a joke at all. ive seen many custom cases for Gamecube's Xbox's and PS2's. I have even seen a Ps2 that was made to look like a book.

It was on Ebay. You could check it out and see if it is still on there but I kinda doubt it, that was a while ago.

I agree with everyone who said something about the systems functioning. I do agree that it's always nice to have a System that looks good, but really, none of them look bad, so it really doesn't make sense to change it unless you find something that suits you.. Such as for me? A Dallas Cowboy faceplate, it's my favorite football team and I have a bunch of their stuff, why not.. It's the faceplate I got on my cell phone, so yeah I agree to make stuff look nice but there's nothing ugly about most of the systems out there. It's just an accessories deal for companies to make money which there's nothing wrong with it.
