I've had no luck in finding any information on this game, besides what is on IGN. Anybody have any information on it?

I hadent even heard of it until now. IGN has a habit of announcing games before they are actually announced. (Banjo Kazoie 3)

Noo Dont get getaway 3. If your looking for a good gta style game, go with godfather. Getaway 3 is horrid.

Godfather seems like a rip off of the mafia game. That game was amazing.

I've never played any Getaway games. are they any good?

The Getaway follows the story of two men from opposite sides of the law, who share an obsession of bringing down London's crime supremo. You'll play Mark Hammond (an ex-bank robber on the run for murdering his wife and kidnapping his child) and Frank Carter (a vigilante cop who was suspended from the Flying Squad) in multiple storylines set in London. Within the city's winding streets, indoor environments, and dangerous street corners, you must search for the manipulative crime boss and finally clear your name.

Pros:

+ The Getaway has an intense story presented from two sides of the law. I was surprised at how well it was put together. You’ll enjoy both characters.

+ The writer’s kept the missions you go on fitting with the story. The more you pushed with Mark Hammond, the more shove that came along with it. Not to mention the cops on his tail. The more Frank Carter was pushed over the edge by the London underground, the more he pushed everyone else over the edge.

Cons:

+ The game is a bit clunky, but I looked past it.

+ Remind me to never go to London, because if that game is any representation of what vehicles are like and how you drive, then I’ll be staying far away from that place forever.

+ Once again, the driving is what knocks most people. You really don’t have anything to go on besides your turn signal. It blinks so many times, you don’t know if your hot or cold.

+ To free roam you have to go into a separate mode for it. It doesn’t give you time in the story mode and even when you do roam, it doesn’t quite feel like Grand Theft Auto (in my opinion, that’s a good thing).

Overall Score: 7/10

The Getaway: Black Monday is along the lines of the first one, though the story isn’t as interesting. It does manage to fix the flaws that were in the first game, but it spawns a whole new batch of them.

Overall Score: 5/10

I’m just hoping this third go-around will be the charm. All they have to do is build upon their formula and perfect it. I hope they don’t sellout and try to make their game in the style of Grand Theft Auto, because the new Driver can’t even do that right.

Anything else you want to know about the previous games?
