Hi all,

Whatever happened to multiplayer, four players or more games? Party games are fun, but PS2 only has sports games as multiplayer, with a few others. Nintendo systems do not require a multitap to be separately purchased unlike PS2. I wish I could play with my friends and cousins Mario Party like games with them. I only have Monopoly Party as my only 4 player game, along with my NBA 2k7 good for 8 players. Anyone suggest a good 4 player game?

Thanks.

NBA Live, NBA 2k, Soccer games are cool multiplayer games. Which is better, NBA Live or Take 2's 2k franchinse?
I have Nba 2k7, its challenging but has unsmart commentary, occassional unprovoked back stepping out of bounds by CPU ball carrier, and on the highest difficulty 99% of the time you cannot win a jump ball, even if your player is 8 inches taller and has better hops. What's up with that? NBA Live has better commentary but lacks realistic gameplay, this according to the fans and press. They said it is too arcade like.
So for 2008 who will make the better Ps2 nba game?

I have heard mixed reviews on the Urban Reign game which features party style multiplayer modes. I have heard single player mode to be either too easy and boring, or excruciatingly difficult, depending on the difficulty mode. Anyone played this game?

Monopoly Party, I bought a while ago is beginning to be very boring. I wish multiplayer games were good and plentiful on PS2, its not, and PS3 probably does not have many multiplayer games to choose from.

It is unfortunate. Apparently Sony lovers prefer to play alone than with some partners.

Maybe not mad but...

Confused that Sony lets the competition one up them when it comes to party games.

I just finished Urban Reign and it's actually a decent game. Single player has a steady difficulty, but some parts are excruciatingly difficult. I was pissed off at how one minute you're breaking people in half (with maxed stats), then the next you're having your ass handed to you. My cousin and a friend had a good time with the Multiplayer. You just fight each other with unlockable characters (which include Tekken's Marshall Law and Paul Phoenix). There is a code where you can play Story Mode with two people as well.

I suggest Champions: Return to Arms. It's probably one of the best multiplayer games released on PS2.

Also, 007: Everything or Nothing is good too. It has a very nice co-op mode. My cousin and I couldn't stop playing it.

Those are the only games I remember multiplayer standing out on.

The third Ratchet and Clank is 4 player online I think. I know it is 2 player online.

Oh and 007 games are all good. Nightfire is my favourite.

Plenty has changed since this article originally ran: the PS2 is no longer the king of the hill, and things are finally starting to wind down after a decade of absolutely killer games. There can be no discussion of Ratchet & Clank without also mentioning the Jak and Daxter series.

There are so many multi-player games for PS2 and you can try the best one which you like most. The COD is my suggestion for you, because I have enjoy lots of fun using this game with my friend.
