I wish wii could play videogames during our down time at work. That'll be great. Better than just surfing the internet.
You know the feeling when you open up a new game on a new system, only to feel bored with it several weeks later.
I am still not convinced that the Wii is a smart buy, mainly due to the lack of quality RPG's, but if you are into party games like Mario Party 8, then the Wii is the only system you should consider. I used to be a loyal Nintendo fan ever since SNES and N64. But now I like Sony better, still enjoying Xenosaga on PS2. Hopefully Nintendo's acquisition of Monolith Soft, developers of Xenosaga, can continue the series, perhaps, of course under a different name (copyrights still belong to someone else).
As innovative the controls are, videogames are videogames, most games you still just sit on the sofa and get lazy and fat playing the same ol' game. Maybe I am too demanding. Maybe Wii wiill get better as more games learn how to use its unique controls. Maybe...

I had a SNES and N64 as well as a GameCube and I really want the Wii to be successful, but the PS3 is just a better console especially after the price cuts. The Wii seems to be just a fad although it is a pretty decent console. And it does beat the PS3 and the 360 hands down with party games. And it's more original which is different in an industry that has become so predictable and boring.

Well, Super Mario Galaxy is pretty awesome and that is a single player game. Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4 (yeah, yeah, it's a remake, still doesn't change the fact it's an awesome game), Fire Emblem are all good single player games. I think the Wii gets the reputation that it's a multiplayer system only, and suffers when you play alone. I'd rather player single player than play with a bunch of people ready to knock my head off with a Wii remote. Give it more time. There's a reason why it's still hard to find a Wii system in some retail stores and online.

I bought a Wii, and it's quite fun - but to be honest, after the few weeks, I really didn't find myself playing it that often... EXCEPT for the Virtual Console. I'll fire that baby up almost every day. In fact, I'll even buy games on there that I already have on emulators, just because the Wii Remote (turned sideways) feels so much like an original NES controller (same goes for the Classic Controller vs. an SNES controller).

If it wasn't for the Virtual Console, I'd probably consider the Wii a disappointment, but I do love the retro gaming options!
