With each generation of gaming it's always about the new graphics. As the consoles come ever closer to hollywood imagery my question is this....does Nintendo have the right idea?

Nintendo states that we are getting to a point where graphics alone wont be the defining point of consoles. Innovation is needed in the industry.

When I really, REALLY thought about it I don't think the PS4's and PS5's of the world are going to get away with just upping the ante in the graphics department every launch. When are we going to see holographic imagrey displayed in movies or complete broadband submersion eliminating the single player days? Every 5 years I'm looking at screenshots saying oh my god I need these graphics today. Is this the last time I'll be thinking that? Is Nintendo that far ahead of it's time?

Is this the last real great graphics console war? Hey, it's gotta all change at some point

And let us hope it does. I'm getting sick and tired of everyone favoring one system over the other based on the graphics alone. I have no idea what Nintendo is capable of but let's hope the do something before they have nowhere else to go.

Of course, I think, currently, there are more thoughts put into which system you want regardless. Let's think about this..

Each console has a set of games that it's best with. Ps1 and Ps2 have always been big RPG gaming consoles, so I've heard, and to me XBoX has always done a lot better with the FPS games. I'm not a big fan of RPG's, yeah I know shoot me dead, but that's just the kind of gamer I am. I will however try anything once. So we'll see..

I commend nintendo for their uniquness but I dont know if uniquness is what the industry is after.

nintendo is never about grpahics jsut making good gmaes i think ill wrry more about graphics cuz that makes games more funner

i think your wrong. i think nintendo may be on the right track. even if gamers brush aside the wii/Rev if it picks up with the general population it could be huge. and im personally ok with non-hd graphics right now. wii is supposed to be unnder 200 maybe and theyll get alot of ps fans because of sony's 600 dollar price tag.
