Kojima has finally released a video (Available for a 640 MB download from the Playstation Store, and it runs for over 15 minutes) of actual gameplay.

The game opens by showing of the Solid Eye Cam, which he uses to scout the areas ahead. There are several different sights, it seems. They showed off two, one which looked a little like thermal goggles, which he uses to spot enemies, but instead of having many colors and then hot spots where enemies are, it is all blue on the entire screen (making it impossible to play the game soley in this way) and has enemies in white. There is also a binocular mode, which is just like the scopes used in the previous game.

Snake spots a small squad of soldiers, and hops from his platform and sees a statue, which many may recognize from the TGS 06 trailer. Then, they open a menu and select "Camoflauge" and puts on a mask over snakes head, and uses the new feature called "Octo-Cam" to make his suite look like the texture of the statue. The soldiers then split up, and snake disables the camoflauge to chase after them.

He goes up the stairs, and then demonstrates te Octo-Cam again, by merely hugging against the wall and foor, and Snake's camo automatically changes to that texture. Konami says you can even "play dead", which must mean there's a camo that makes snake look like a dead man (i.e. blood, cuts, etc.). He sneaks behind a soldier, and grabs him from behind. The PMC then drops his weapon, and Snake the chokes him out. He picks the AK-47 up (another new feature) and goes into the next room.

There's another soldier. This one he holds up (which is done much easier than in MGS3) and forces the PMC to drop his weapon, which allows Snake to search his body for anything valuable, and knocks him out by grabbing his . . . nether regions.

Snake then snipes out two PMC's outide using te Mosin Naggut, which makes a reapearance from MGS3 (The End used that weapon. It has a tranq bullet instead of actal bullets, and this can knock enemies out when the Stun Gun is out of range.

Snake the drops down and uses his Charge Knife (a new weapon, which works like the survival knife before it, but know has an electical charge to knock up enemies) and electroqutes the PMC.

Snake then sees approaching enemies, and hides in a barrel, similarly to the Cardboard Box from previous games, except this one can deflect bullets. He then rolls the can down and knocks out two enemies. When Snake comes out, however, he throws up.

Snake moves along and shows off how the knew Third Person View works. It is similar to Resident Evil (though the aiming is much faster). He also shows that you can now move in FPS Mode, and states that you can actually play the entire game in this mode.

Snake spots more PMC's, so he hides in a dumpster nearby. Kojima says that if you stay in too long, you will begin to stink, which will give your hiding spot away. Snake then peeks out and takes out the two enemies using the Stun Gun.

Now, a large battle between the PMC's and the Militia forces break out. Kojima says that the Militia is probably going to loose this battle, so he decides to help them out. He hides behind a destroyed van while flying Metal Gears (Small bombers with organic wings) begin to destroy the battle field, and even takes down an entire building in the distance. Snake then uses the Metal Gear Mk II to sneak up on a soldier and knock him out via a small electrical charge.

Throughout the battle, Kojima shows off several new features. Snake was being shot at from behind, so he ran, dove forward, and landed on his back facing the enemy, and then shot him from the building he was hiding in. Then from that position, Snake threw a grenade behind him to take out a couple PMC's. He allied with the Militia so they wouldn't shoot at him, and helped them win the battle. Snake was then thanked by the soldiers, and the video ended.
