View Full Version : Yakuza
Philament 04-01-2006, 10:33 AM I don't know if any of you guys have heard of this game, but it's definitely reminding me of Shenmue. Chances are I'll pick it up regardless of the reviews it gets.

curlfro 04-01-2006, 11:39 AM i'm looking foward to it. it's supposed to be kinda like GTA japenese style (i hope the one problem that i had with gta isn't there. i hated how gta tried so hard to be gangster, that it was almost pathetic.)

Philament 04-01-2006, 03:17 PM When you say pick it up, I usually mean rent it. As far as PS3 goes, I don't even want to think about saving up for it just yet. I need a job before I can do that. :( And now that I look at the videos for this game, I realize it is nothing like Shenmue. It'll definitely suck. The screenshots in Game Informer threw me off.

actually, it supposed to be very entertaining. i've read psm's artical about it. and they got a hands on test, and they were very pleased with the graphocs and gameplay. it was a lot deeper that gta.
I still think the game looks good, I dont think I will buy it though. I might give it a rental but i will probally check what kind of reviews it gets before i do. The graphics are very impressive for a PS2 game though.
Justinian 04-03-2006, 06:44 PM yea i think the same thing but i dont think i wld get it

i just hope that the game doesn't get kinda lost in translation. it's very japanese, and i don't know how well the transition from Japan to amereica will be.

It looks like it has potential but I just dont think that it will really be recognised. I have heard almost nothing from the publishers and I only really first heard of tit here.

Soon, early next month if it stays with its original release date. I think I will hold off until it drops in price a bit. Im just not THAT excited for it. it looks cool but not cool enough to pay full price for.
