The article gave a few hints on what is to come such as online game footage and video blogs which can be shared with other people. PlayStation Magazine also reports you will be able to view your achievements and game highlights through the service.

If you want to upload your own videos and photo’s, those who own a PSP have the ability to use its Eye Toy function. The article seems to show a “Lifestyle” theme for the service, which is the fad of the moment for most marketing companies. Perhaps a marketing idea, or simply a coincidence its not known at this point.

The launch date for the online service is still not yet known. It is hoped widely throughout the PlayStation community that the service will roll out around the same time as the console.

Looks cool but I really dont know if they are going to be able to mathc Xbox Live. Have any of you ever played live. It is near perfection. Everything is so well organised and it just runs so smoothly that you cant help but love it. I really think that Sony is going to copy as much as they can from Xbox live but copies are never as good as the originals.

althoguh i've never palyed live i think son'ys is going to be better because liek u said befor sony is going to match almost everything in live so which would make it equal alhthoghu u said originals are better well that depends sometimes orignals are better and sometimes there not i dunno if this is a good example but my sigs i made are worse then the ones curlfro made or like remixes remixes are usually better than the orignal but that depends on everones point of view now. Also son'ys online is goona be for more than jsut gaming like some online cahtting and some other kool stuff and u'll be able to surf the internet which is ausome!

I really dont think sigs apply to this type of a situation. I just dont theink they can make it as good as the already near perfect Xbox Live.

well, that's the plan. lets just hope it works out. sony, in my opinion, has the 360 beat in graphics, and games that have been anounced. so, if they can topple gameplay and online play, sony will be the king of next-gen.

i do believe that sony has truly ogt microsoft beat i've gone to many forums and it looks like sony has gottne them beat

but remember..... it's gonna be 200$$$$ more than xbox360...... and as soon as halo comes out... ppl will buy 360 instead of ps3

2. cuz they get to play halo 3 on 360........... halo alone has caused one of my friends to convert to xbox.....


all i gotta say is that sony BETTER have a really, really, REALLY good graphics engine...... and the online CAN'T be tacky, like it is on most ps2 games.....
