Yes that right! PS3 Court Version 2.0 is in the works! A completely re-designed site, built completely from scratch. Were taking what we currently have and making it 100 times better! Our from the ground up approach is sure to make your experience much more enjoyable with new features, a flashy front page, tutorials, cheat codes, and a user interface that will put us right along side other larger PS3 sites such as PSN!

The planned launch date for PS3 Court Version 2.0 is January 10, 2008. Yes I know its a while away but these things take time! Graphics need to be designed, layouts need to be planned, content needs to be added, tutorials need to be written and bugs need to be worked out. So please be patient - its coming! The new design is 60% complete as of today, and hopefully it can be completed prior to the expected release date. We will keep you update on its progress as time goes on!

Until then - Keep on gaming and post away!

This is why your my favorite admin I have ever been on a forum with. Most just load the forum with mods and don't care how it looks or just try to give everyone to much at a time. Thanks man.:)

As Curlfro said, it looks A LOT different, and much better. Trust me when I say you guys will love it. Were both really excited about it. I'm not going cheap on it. And about the only reason im doing it is because of the dedication of a number the members here. I feel as if I owe it to you for sticking around so long and being as loyal as you are.

p.s: PS3_Master you need to upgrade your IE to firefox lol.

I use firefox, but all my designing is done in IE as its still the browser used by most. If everything was done in FireFox, it may cause unexpected problems with IE and cause problems for the majority of our viewers.

In terms of coding the skins, I dont do it myself. I have a developer what does it for me. Its not east to do as there are so many variables involved and you need someone that knows the software / content engine rather intamitly that can code the skin.

That's what I thought. I was filling a request for someone on another site for a template they wanted made and i couldn't code it so I had someone who had dreamweaver do it lol.

You will all be happy to know I'm currently integrating the forums with the new site design's database. Time consuming as hell....... This is probably the most dificult process in the entire design phase - its back up, upload, merge, screw up, try again. lol

The most frustrating part, is trying to upload a database thats rather large on a high speed connection that only allows upload speeds of up to 1 mb per second...... and then re doing it every time you screw up on the merge. Damn you ISP!!!!!! So Im currently twidiling my thumbs waiting for it to upload through phpmyadmin.

I sure do hope we stay with the new design for a while because its going to be hell trying to seperate the two databases that have been merged!!

As soon as they are merged its time to build up the sites content. That should take place as early as this weekend.

The one thing that has me a bit worries is the forum I'm integrating right now is the one your currently viewing. Not such a big deal - other then the fact that I cant upgrade the forum software until the new site goes live. Why you ask? Well because just before the site goes live, I need to close the forums, download a database backup from the current forums, upload it to the new forums database, then upgrade the forums software on the new design otherwise posts will be lost.

Then I need to upload the new forum template / design, make sure it works properly and then open up the site to the rest of the world. So please do expect PS3 Court to be down for a while on launch day. This will take some time. I will try and minimize the down time but I am expecting it to take me anywhere from 2 - 4 hours.

Why don't you have the new site go live but before you release it to the public go and put it offline and finish the job? Also, good job sounds like everything is going pretty good and you know what to do. Good luck.

If its live but hidden from the public, any posts made in the old forums wont be put into the new forum. Its got to be done once the old one has been shut down. everything needs to be done in a specific order in terms up upgrading the forum software or it royaly messes things up!

No not at all. All prvious posts will be included in the new site. Its merely a cosmetic make over.

This is not a new forum. Its a current forum software upgrade, the removal of the curent content management system and the implimentation / integration of a new content management system customized to our needs (and it looks sweet compared to the cirrent site).

In regards to the launch - I stated the date would be Jan 10. I wasnt exactly thinking properly when I said this. As the 10th is a thursday - I'm at work until 5 PM! The total time required for the updrade will be around 4 - 6 hours (Moving files, changing scripts to reflect the correct paths, and last but not least testing functionality to ensure the paths are all correct).

I'm going to have to push the launch back to the 12th (to the Saturday). Rest assured though the site will go live at 1900 Hrs MST. I do apoligise for this but it is physicaly impossible for me to compelte the launch on the 10th as I wont be able to do it from work. I will need to spend the entire day on it.
