What do you think about the PS3 at this point of time? What do you think about if compared to the X-Box 360 or Nintendo Evolution? What about the games?

Are you sold on the games Sony is planning on releasing, or are you hoping they are going to name some more before the release (Specifically more suited to your playing style?)

My opinion on the PS3 is that if you have been looking forward to it, or you just like the games that PlayStation gets, you are not going to be disappointed. Even if the graphics end up only being a bit better than Xbox 360, (and we all know they will blow the X-Box360 out of the water) at the end of the day it comes down to the games, and when you write down what PS3 is getting compared to the Xbox 360, I believe its going to be one of the best consoles ever designed. All the other media stuff and Blu-ray is just the icing on the cake.

Just my 2 cents.

If PS3 isnt eveything that I expect it to be, then im gonna go and buy a nintendo. I hear what he's saying about the remakes of all of the same old games, but look at MS, they have halo, DOA, 32 different Ghost Recons and Military FPS's. Nintendo has Mario, Donky Kong... you get my point. no matter where you go, you get remakes.

I just hope that they continue their legacy of great gaming experiences and not just graphics and specs. MS is worried about getting here first, and Sony's like, "well our console is bigger, better, and faster", and that's what it seems to be about right now.

I am looking foward to MGS4 and Vision GT though, those games look absolutley spectacular, and we know that Kojima wouldnt create a bogus MGS game. i pray that with the Blu Ray discs that they can create not only visually better games, but that they can create longer games as well. That's just my opinion though!

Don't mean to turn this into a PS3 vs 360 debate, but are you arguing that Elder Scrolls: Oblivian, Gears of War, Halo 3 (which is just going to be released, everybody knows it) and the influx of Mistwalker games don't look fantastic?

At the moment, 360 and PS3, in my opinion, have the same amount of 'killer apps', but perhaps the 360 has more 'good' games...

In my opinion, the playstation 3 will be a whole new experience with gaming, and will make gaming even more enjoyable. Better graphics, better processor, so basicly better games.

Only downside of the ps3 is imo the joystick. It kinda looks like a boomerang, and I wonder if it will be easy to play with, I'm sure Sony knows what they're doing, but I'm not so sure about the joystick :P

I think the controllers design is a bit odd as well, but in the long run i think it was designed that way for a number of reasons.

Their pretty much identical to the PS2 controllers other the what’s listed above.
I think they should have designed a small fan in it though. My biggest pet peeve with controllers is that your hands always get sweaty after playing for a while. Fans and a few small vents to keep your hands cool would have been great.

Does anyone know if the controllers will have dual shock capabilities? or is it going to be an aftermarket attachment?

I'm sure that they'll have dualshock, don't think sony's not gonna add that to the controllers, I mean who doesn't like to get buzzed when they hit a wall, or get killed :P

The ps3 games will be infinitely better than the ecks bawks. The system itself will be more powerful and it will have more capabilities.

The PS3 will rock harder than any other next gen console. It's graphics are great and has more games that i'm a fan of.

Oblivion and Halo 3 will probably released for the Pc too. Well at least oblvion. Oblivion is probably gonna be better on the pc.

i feel that between the PS3's hardware potential and the shear amount of developer support, it should allow the 360 to trail behind at a decent 2nd place, till the game devs learn to tweak the games to max performance on PS3... then the 360 will be dust-choked, tired, and ready to pass the torch off to Xbox ... 720? :D

I really dont know where this generation is going to go. So far the 360 is amazing. Seriously guys dont bash it if you havent played it. The graphics are awesome, the controler is fantasitc (the best I have ever held) and Xbox Live is so, so, so much fun. I was so hyped about the PS3 that I kinda ignored the 360 for a while but seriously I really think that the PS3 has some very very tough competion with the 360. The games are great and there are more great ones on the way. Halo 3, Mass Effect, Perfect Dark, Project Gotham 3, GRAW, Oblivion, Gears of War, Blue Dragon, Vampires Rain, Fable 2. They have such a massive line up of great games. So far for the PS3, for me anyway, has no AAA titles that I really want despratly and the 360 does. I really have alot of confidence in the 360, kinda sad to say it but more than I have in the PS3.

if you are referring to me as being a 360 basher then I'm sorry I led you to that conclusion. In the PC market, even amongst Microsoft haters, I really like Microsoft and Windows. I have nothing against the 360, but I follow the computer hardware markets very closely and after reading the official specs on both systems, my comclusion is that there is more processing potential in the design of the PS3 than in the 360. So as I said, the 360 and PS3 will likely be neck and neck for a while but when the devs take full advantage of the PS3's Cell processor (7 simultaneous threads capability) and the nVidia graphics processor (maybe its just the huge nV fan that I've always been) I feel that the PS3 will simply have more to show for itself and its fantastic design than the 360 after its all said and done. I do plan however to purchase a 360 when prices are a bit more affordable for me and hopefully the mod chips are available :D

Right now, I think the ps3 is looking solid, except for the part of no actual playable demos i quite happy with the progress.

i think that the ps3 is an over powered over priced super computer thats ten years ahead of its time and will be the best system ever created. so you decide am i insultin the ps3 or complimenting it... people arnt ready for hd yet only like 20 percent of homes have a hdtv and you know its not the 18 to 25 year olds that are in to gaming. theyll lose a lot of market share to nintendo and xbox. i wouldnt be surprised if they came out third from this.
