Hi All,

I have a Slimline PS2, but I do not have the startup disk that came with it, lost it. I have Cox internet, so I have that black box with it, that must be the modem, if not please tell me what it is. If I insert an ethernet cord into the PS2 and plug the cord to the black box, that's all I need to do. Then what about the startup disk? I heard some games have a startup disk built in the game. I want to play either NBA 2k8 or NBA Live 08, will I need a startup disk for either of these two games.
The startup disk is just instructions, right? Or is it absolutely necessary? If so, how much does it cost, and where is the best and cheapest place to buy them from?

Thanks a million!

I never played PS2 online, but one of my friends did. Never head of a disk lol, so I guess not.

Well Jak X Combat Racing has the disk built in. Buuttt I dont know many other games with it built in. I suggest you go to the official US playstation site. I know that they have this information because I have searched for it there before.
