I understand that Blu-ray is (or stated to be) that much more versatile and powerful than a normal DVD.
The problem herein lies that most developers product cross-platform.
E.g. Resident Evil --> Cube and PS2. EA, Take2, majesco - basically all developers that swear allegience to no one.
Given that they will be 'limited' by the power of the X360 and revolution, how many games out there will utilise the full power and potential of the PS3 engine? This puzzles me because unless Sony really strangles the living hell out of X360 and nintendo revolution (a repeat of this gen should be good enough), producers will continue to produce X360 and rev standard of games for the supposedly more powerful PS3.
Now the power difference between the PS2 to Xbox is uncomparable to the power difference of PS3 and X360. From what I hear, the PS3 will be impressively ahead of the X360 in terms of pure power. If the MGS4 trailer is really what it is meant to be, than how will games utilise the power of the PS3 while allowing it to be cross-platform?
Just like to know out of curiousity.
