hey guys, i installed YDL and for some reason it took 10 seconds to install it, so i went to other OS and switched to YDL, and now, its a blank screen and i cant book up the PS3 OS, how do i go back to the PS3 OS?

Well its probably because you switched cables. To go back start up the PS3 XMB turn on the ps3 from the BACK of the ps3, then hold the power button in the front of the ps3 for about 10-15 seconds and it will configure display settings. Now your back at the xmb.

awesome, much help, but now i have a bigger problem.
so i got it working, i got to the install and i saw something like it was going to format the whole drive, i didint like that so i figured id rather do some reading on it before i install, turns out, its normal.
and now when i try to go back into it, it says "bad usb cable maybe?" for my keyboard, and it gives me an error in the kboot and wont go in to the install.
any suggestions?

I guess check that you did everything right when burning the stuff into the DVD. I didn't run into anything like that =/

Oh that sucks, I hate it when your trying to do something and it just completely goes wrong.

ok ok, so i found out my ps2 to usb adapter was messed
thats fine
so i bought a cheapo usb keyboard
works good


but NOW, it says no vr or some crap
and i know that means file system, BUT, before i changed the usb keyboard, i actually got into the linux install screen.


this blows lol
