Recently, I just bought a Linksys WRT54GS router. When I connected it to the computer, everything seems to be running smoothly, until trying to use my PS3 online...

I seem to be doing everything right when setting up:
1) I choose to connect wirelessly
2) Then I scan the surrounding signals and choose mine when it appears on the list.
3) The SSID is already typed in the bar....
4) I enter the long WPA confirmation key...
5) It checks that my information is right for like 2 minutes....
6) Then it says do you want to set up your address settings easy or manual. I choose easy.
7) I leave everything the way it is. Everything stays automatic.
8) I save the settings.

9) When I am done testing the connection, this is what I get...
________________________________________
*Exchanging key information/Connecting to the Access Point

Obtained IP Address: FAILED
Internet Connection: -

Key Information Exchanging has Timed Out

* Flashes back and forth when trying to connect.

Can someone please assist me in this problem. I have already contacted Linksys, Comcast, and Sony but to no avvail. I would greatly appreciate it.

Can anyone provide some insight to the problem. I updated my system using a USB Hardrive Stick. I still cant get online. It keeps saying "Key information timed out....

I can't connect with an ethernet cable for certain reasons out of my control....
-two different rooms (CPU and PS3)
-etherent cable would be too long (Parents dont want that)
and several other reasons....

Please Help. Thank You.
