http://www.ps3court.com/images/new_controler.gifAt Sony’s Press Conference in LA, Sony displayed the newest PS3 controller design destined for mass production and distribution with the console in November.


The controller will be wireless using Bluetooth Technology will also contain motion sensing on a six point axis. With the addition on motion sensing comes a blow to one of many gamer’s favorite features, the dual shock core."Pursuant to the introduction of this new six-axis sensing system, the vibration feature that is currently available on DUALSHOCK and DUALSHOCK 2 controllers for PlayStation and PlayStation 2, will be removed from the new PS3 controller as vibration itself interferes with information detected by the sensor." Included with the controller will be a USB cable for re charging.
The controller which will come standard with each PlayStation 3, requires no external sensors as everything has been built into the controller itself. It will be interesting to see just how the motion sensing technology reacts with many RPG games.

man, at first i was dissapointed, but i knew there was some sort of catch. it turns out their was a dam good one.

OMG , i'm seriously crying...... or at least getting teary eyed............. but i just saw that one of it on it's side, with the top view of the controler, and that just looks so cool.......... i'm printing that out right now and i'm gonna post it on my wall.... I love that look, i swear.......... thank you sony............


WTF, I JUST REMEMBERED ITS GONNA COST 499 FREAKING DOLLARS......... I Cant afford it, cuz i get my license in like 10 days, and i have to pay tons of money on insurance.................................. and the only friend i have that plays ps2 and stuff got bad grades, so his parents won't give him some money to buy it. Plus, i'm not allowed to get a job cuz i have to maintain my grades.... (i have a 4.3 or something cuz i'm taking honors classes, and some for college credit)...... i'm screwed............................

couldn't they just make another type of vibrator to put it in, instead of the copyrighted one?

it sounbds reall ykool so theres goona be no vibration it oh well thats ok at least now we have the power of the Wiimote in our contoller!
