For one, I thought Gears of War was a beautiful game from the start and now I'm even more hyped for the release of this game. Err.. It will be, or better. Trust me. IMO, MGS wasn't THAT fun, for the most part it was boring to me. Too much running around, NOTE, I'M TALKING ABOUT THE ONE I ACTUALLY GOT TO PLAY. Gears of War will be awesome. No doubt about it.

Gears looks beautiful, but I'm not too excited about it. I mean it only has 3 multiplayer modes which dissapoints me. I would not be surprised at all if this game doesn't do that well. I'm sure the it will be pretty good, but considering all the hype, I think it will be a dissapointment. But there's no question the graphics and story mode look good, just the multiplayer options aren't that great.

I've got this one on pre-order, Emergence Day is coming Nov. 8th!!!!! This game is going to be F'n amazing!!!! Imagine this your playing SP game, you see your buddy pop on Live, he can jump right into your game and take over one of the NPCs and you both can continue the level together. How awesome is that!!!!!

Now will it be better then MGS? Luckily I dont have to worry about that, precisily why I have both consoles!!!:D

This game will be the very best game out there for the X-Box 360. It makes me want to go get a 360. It is sad that it is only for the 360. :( It better be good because the company pent 10 mill. to make this game!

Me neither. I was pretty excited about it a little while ago. But now that I've read up on it and saw the multiplayer modes, I'm not hyped up anymore. I'm gonna wait awhile and then decide if I want it...which i probably won't.

To be honest, I'm not too excited about COD3 either. It just looks way too different. But Gears will be a very disappointing game, despite the reviews it may receive.

the Cod3 looks greats except for a few aspects in the game. the vechiles are not as strong like in halo2 and can be easily destroyed. it feels like im playing team fotress with a war war II feel with the different characters u can pick.

I don't like the War mulitplayer game. It's gonna be like Battlefield, and that game sucks. You know people are gonna hog the rocket launchers and snipers and be little pansies...like blackpajamaman. If I do get it, it will be for Christmas, I'm not shelling out 60 bucks right now. You can play with monisimo and vtlax for the time being, lol.

Battlefield is just another crap game made by EA. The only reason why this would be fast is cause there are more players so of course your going to die faster. The different classes are cool and there will always be something to counter what people do. There will alway be people that use rockets or snipers but thats why it part of the game.

Ohh you where talking about Cod3. Same thing with Gears of War huges maps, you're gunna need vechiles to get anywhere and they can be easily destroyed. I wish they would make a Call of duty 2.5 and just add more players a some gametypes just in case this turns into battlefield.

Only good thing about Gears of War is the commercial they have out for it. It's pretty cool when the guys is about to take on some massive alien thingy. I also like that song "Mad World" from Donnie Darko. It's actually a remake though. The original was done by Tears for Fears and it had more of an 80s goth beat to it, lol.

Ah, see the single player mode for me is the second reason why I buy FPS. Yeah I'll play it and try to beat the game, but the multiplayer is where the lasting affects are. And Gears of War has barely any multiplayer modes, and none of them sound interesting at all. Even if the story mode was awesome, how many times can you play through it? At least with multiplayer you can expect new things and challenges while online or with friends. I doubt Gears of War will be a truly great game.

I'm not just ranting about the 8-player thing. There's only 3 multiplayer modes, and one of them is deatmatch, which is pretty much boring. The others are kill the leader and ressurection which sound dumb. This game will bomb, and it will be because of the multiplayer. I'm sure the single player will be entertaining, but only the first 3-4 times you play it, haha.

I fully expected the review sites to give in to the hype and give it a high score, regardless of the way it played. Gamespot is stupid though, they give Gears of War a 9.6 and the lows they mention are prettty significant: the story mode could be more fleshed out and the difficulty settings could have been better. On the other hand, they give FFXII a 9.0 and the lows it received are stupid and take no effect on the game itself: too much walking around and the license board and gambit system are too difficult...for retards maybe, but for educated people who can read, the system is really easy. Makes no sense to me. I know they are different genres, but that's just a case of gamespot being pressured into giving it a good score. Bah, I'm not getting it anyway, Lumines 2 for the PSP is where it's at!

Reviews of games are totally bs these days. When people give u free stuff and you get payed to write stuff about the things u get of course say good stuff about it or give a good score so they can continue getttin free stuff. The only reviews i really look at are the people sellin the game say why u should by it from them, or why there sellin it cause they didnt like it.

Regardless of reviews, I really think Gears of War will be worth it. I still have yet to see a single copy in any of my stores where I live, besides at one video stores. I haven't been to Wal-Mart today, so I have no idea if they have it. I guess maybe tomorrow I'll check for it and tell you guys what I think about it.

My ebgames had a sign on the door saying both Gears of War and COD3 were delayed in arriving at the store. I found it funny since it was such a hyped game and it's not even out to buy despite the launch date.

Haha, I just got COD3 like 30 minutes ago. Ebgames didn't pressure me into Gears of War because they only had pre-order fulfillments at that time. Thank God, because no way in hell I'm getting that game unless someone gave it to me. Maybe also cuz I bought a DS Lite as well, haha.

Gears of War is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.
However, the shooting does get repetitive...duck, shoot, duck, shoot, hide, shoot...
They try and throw some vehicles and stuff to break it up...but overall, I think the multiplayer experience will be worth it

Reason why i replaced it is because it wasnt working. Not like there was finger print on the disk(comparable to your one dead pixel). *Laughing at Yokofox pickyness*

Dead Pixels are the worst!
My best friend had a dead pixel on his Gameboy Advance SP and never did anything about it...you couldn't play it without being pissed about it

Well eventually we all have dead pixels on ours screens. I dont know how long of a period that would take for that effect to happen.

Gears of War is outstanding. The game is a bit too short but that takes nothing away from it. And the Multiplayer is brilliant as well. There's no reason why anybody should hold off on this game.

The only reason would be for the fact that you hate Microsoft and everything that helps it prosper.

This game bores me. Anyone up for a game of basketball. Im tired of hide and seek games with few players. Yes the graphics are good but i've seen this gameplay somewhere before hmm Brute Force. Yes duck and cover controls are better than Perfect Dark but me killing these random creatures gets boring after every generation. Im more interested in games that i will be playing 6 months down the road not for 2 weeks and then never touched again.
