Ok. I have pretty much been living on the 360 board the past few months ever since I got one and I have to say, I am excited as hell for this holiday season with Gears of War and the like...but that is not why I'm here. I am here to show my support for the PS3.

No matter how many times I read a post about someone *****ing about the price of this system, It still doesn't seem to get through to people that you are getting away with murder if you buy a fully functioning Blu-Ray DVD/Top of the line PC worthy gaming unit for $600!!!

Are you ****ing kidding me?!?! $600! THAT'S IT!?

You get a $1,000 DVD player and a $3,000 (at least) gaming rig! God should strike you down where you stand for *****ing about this price point.

Oh and let us not forget the online gaming is going to be (supposedly) FREE! Come on.

I paid $400 for my very first DVD player back when they were first introduced. It wasn't even P-scan. $400. What did that get me? A nice shiney silver box that played dvd/vcd/cd's Now I get a top of the line PC WITH high definition dvd playback and free online gaming for a few bills more.

I had a hard time letting go of $400 for a 360 but came to the realization of what I was getting for that money. A kick ass gaming unit with a great game line-up and a decent (with the potential of being great...with the hd add-on) dvd player along with being able to communicate with friends, connecting to, and playing games with people all over the world.

I look @ the PS3 and see the same if not more possibilities on yet another fantastic machine and I have to say $600 realistically is a phoenomenal price to pay for what you will be getting.

This is called technology folks, and if you want to keep up with the Jones' you are going to be buying the latest and greatest for whatever price it is.

Maybe the reason a lot of you are *****ing is because you won't be able to convince your mommy to pay $600 for your video gaming system. If that's the case, you should probably be playing with your Wii anyway because you are not old enough to be playing the games the ps3 will be offering and if you ARE old enough to play the games, you are goddamn old enough to get a job and purchase one yourself if you really want one.

Also being a multi-console owner, I try not to show bias towards one or the other but it pains me to see the slamming of other systems because someone is sour that the console THEY like is going to cost a million dollars or the said million dollar console is being laughed @ because "you can get the same thing with the 360 for less money" both of these arguments are retarded and add no contribution to...anything! Much like this thread will likely do little to nothing to convince people $600 is a great price.

Be a gamer. Like to play games because they are GAMES not because they are ps3 games or Wii games or 360 games. but just games. I read here a little bit ago a great comment about MGS4 "Sony didn't win E3, MS didn't win E3. Kojima won E3"

That is a fantastic comment. you know why? because that is a game truely worthy of praise. and when it comes down to it you are enjoying the game because it's FUN not because it's on this or that system.

I will be enjoying MGS4 along side my Halo 3...though I may be going solo with Master Chief for quite some time while I save up enough money to buy a house so I can take a mortgage out on it to afford a PS3!!!

In conclusion: STFU and buy a ****ing PS3 when it drops. You know you are going to anyway and you will be getting one for a great price.

Wow... Very well put. At least i know the language filter works well. lol
I completly agree. There are so many people out there complaining non stop about the PS3 and how it isnt worth the price. They just dont know the full potential on the console, and when they finaly relaise what it can do they will be flocking the stores trying to get one.

Glad to have you on board!

you're joking, right? adults have WAY more bills. electric, water, heating, car paments, house paments, insurence. just to name a few. also, one of my parents works in an auto parts store, and the other works a desk job.

i feel sorry for both those people. the kids cuz when (of if) they ever move out of their parents house, there gunna see that it takes a lot of work to get what you want in real life, and just whining and crying wont change anything. and the gamers who live in their parents basement, because they have no life. simple as that.

$600 is a huge chunk of change no matter who you are (unless you or your parents are uber wealthy) its so expensive but if you look at it as just the bluray its well worth it.
