I everyone! I have cut the top of the plastic case of my ps3 slim to put a plexi pannel in place of it. Now I was thinking to cut also the blueray case to see the disk while the ps3 is reading it, but I'm not sure this is possible, and I don't want to risk. I hope someone will answer me:) tank u!

Well I hope your warrany has run out, because if not its void now. That being said I took my PS3 apart last night (Got the yellow light of death on it - its toast). the Blu Ray drive have an aluminum cover on it that could probably be removed. I wouldnt recomend doing this because if you do, you run the risk of introducing forign objects in the drive which could iin turn destroy the laser. One thing I've been told about the drive is they tend to fail which is one reason the yellow light of death is caused.

I've modded my controllers and put a blue LED light under the PS button on one of them, a red LED under my second controllers PS button and upgraded to a 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive. thats all I've done so far.
