http://www.ps3court.com/images/ps3.gifUK Retailers are showing their confidence in the Sony’s PS3. A number of retailers have spoken publicly about the project, one of which is Chips UK Managing Director Don McCabe who told GameIndusty “Microsoft is really pulling out the big guns, but it won't change sale predictions for the PS3 due to the hearts and minds that Sony had already won over."

Lee Botham of HMV was also quoted as saying “; "PlayStation 3 should still easily sell-through on the back of anticipated demand, which remains substantial and on the general strength and appeal of its brand. FIFA Games should definitely act as a major boost to sales of Xbox 360 and underline its current position in the market. But there will be sufficient demand for PS3 for it to sell-through in the foreseeable future."

With confidence this high, the hype around the PlayStation 3 will continue to grow t an enormous rate. With the launch date just around the corner, retailers on both sides of the Pacific will be sure to stock their shelve in anticipation.

Steve O’Brien of Action Replay and the Gameshop stores said "The PS3 could sell all it's entire allocation - whatever that might be - three times over without a single killer game over the next twelve months,”

While we wouldn’t go that far, we here at PS3Court do believe the console will sell out three times over in 12 months, however they will need a good lineup at launch or shortly after to increase the sales.

Well...

I'd be more inclinced to hear out the developers' opinions and all as opposed to the retailers.. The deveolopers are the ones making the games for one.

Retailers are just the people trying to sell the stuff.. You guys shouldn't be swayed much in the fact that the retailers themselves have high confidence and the developers don't. (See GameInformer - Sept Issue).

They're more interested in the Wii and 360 believe it or not..

Well, it really all does depend on the developers. Especialy if they don't make any games for it.
