Does any1 know if the ps2 blue discs (early version) work on ps3?

All PS2 disks will work with the upcomming PS3. They have designed it so its backwards compatable - even with PSone disks. About the only disk it wont be able to play are the HD-DVD's. Other then that, CD's, CDR-R, CDRW's DVD's, DVD-R, DVD-RW, Blue Ray, and the list goes on. The bottom of this (http://www.ps3court.com/index.php?page=specs) page will give you an idea of just what the PS3 is capable of playing

Yup, the PS3 will be able to play PS2 CD-ROM games (the blue/purple bottom ones). I seriously doubt you'll be able to play PSP games with it (except maybe through a connection with your PSP). It just wouldn't make good business sense, since I'm sure a fair amount of people (myself included) would rather get the PSP games and play it on their PS3, instead of getting a PS3 and a PSP....and Sony wants you to get both.

That would be kool if it could paly psp games but mabe it would work liek acomp does thers a groove in the tray for minidiscs. but oh wait theres np tray for the ps3 lol!

I sold all my ps1 and ps2 games, but i think i'll got god of war 2 to play on the ps3.

i'm not quite sure wat blue discs are are they blu ray discs?

rumor has it that they are gonna put a ps2 reader in the ps3 till they can get the ps3 to read all the old games. so basically shove a ps2 in a ps3 and you get backwards compatability.

I think it does because its blue ray and its slightly diffrent but blue ray is blue ray well i dont know if ps2 blue ray works the same as the ps3 anyway i think it does what the ps3 runs the ps2 games so what diffrence does it make
