[TUTORIAL] Use you PS3 SIXAXIS Controller on your Windows PC as a Game Controller
Ever wanted to use your SIXAXIS Controller on your PC games? Its possible! (And has been for a while now). Follow the instructions below to set up the drivers and away you go! The Motion Sensing does not work as of yet, but it's a good start and hopefully within the next few months motion support will be enabled. The controler wil work with most emulators, but be sure to turn your PS3 off to keep the controler from interfeating with it!
All of the files you require are attached below.
1. Download and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe).
2. Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe
3. Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC.
4. Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
5. Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn't see it straight away.
There have been reports of this not working for everyone, but it works for me (Love it when playing EA Sport NHL 2006) If it doesnt work here is a work around that may get it up and running for you.
1. Place the "ps3sixaxis_en" file into the Windows/System32 folder
2. Go to start and then click Run
3. Type in CMD and a prompt should pop up
4. in the Prompt, type "ps3sixaxis_en" and hit enter
5. (keep the Game Controllers menu open under properties) and push the PS button
6. By now u should be able to see that you can move the + in any direction!
If this didnt help, try running steps 2-5 again.
