Sony Pictures Television announced a deal made with DivX wich places the opportunity for online retailers so sell and distribute Sony content in a DivX format. The news comes not long after DivX support for the PS3 was added durring the December 2.10 patch.
Kristina Weise, Spokeswoman for DivX made it clear the new deal will cover "all titles in the Sony Pictures Television library." She went on to say all downloadable content would be owned by the consumer, however there would be a form of DRM with each title.
