Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has toppled the charts for 2007 with 7 million copies sold world wide. Adding fuel to its fire, COD4 sold more copies than any other game for any system world wide. The numbers were released by Activision today, all sourced from Chart Track, GFK Group and NPD.

Activision’s acclaimed title has won more then 40 editors choice and game of the year awards in the US, and received 18 perfect review scores. This is without a doubt one of the best titles release to date for any gaming system, and the numbers only reinforce this in everyone’s mind.
